Whispers suggest it might be called the 'MacBook' or perhaps the 'MacBook Neo', and it's slated for a Wednesday debut. This new model is rumored to be a more accessible option, with a price point around $699 or $799.

Leading up to this week, anticipation for a new base iPad powered by the A18 chip has been building. With a new iPad Air already announced, it's possible this base model isn't quite ready for immediate shipping. However, a Wednesday unveiling is still very much on the table.
Why is this iPad exciting, especially when paired with the new low-cost MacBook? Consider these points:

And this is the part most people miss: the new A18 chip will unlock Apple Intelligence features for the base iPad for the very first time!
